This is virtually the only way to bird the seas off southern New Zealand and its subanctarctic islands. Most species of penguins and many other pelagic species abound in these areas. We are in contact with an agent who has experience in these areas and most importantly has landing permits for the following islands: Snares, Aukland, Macquarie, Campbell, Antipodes, Bounty, and Chatham.

This is an expensive trip-- costing about US$6,500. Continental Airlines flies to New Zealand via New Caledonia where we can get a stopover. A NZ or New Caledonia extension is possible. In any event the oceanic venue is 19 days.
