Amazonia

Our 2001 trip in August was assisted by Andy Whittaker's company in Manaus, Birding Brazil. We saw about 500 species as we visited four locations:

	São Gabriel do Cachieira (Upper Rio Negro) in the Northwest
	Manaus, including campinas, igapó and varzea forest
	The Rio Tapajós in the eastern-central part of the basin
	The Rio Cristalino preserve in the south.
